Hi,

My name is Vick-Jo Cook and I have been crafting for over 30 years.  I am part of a very creative family and from a very early age began crafting.

My mother does woodcrafts and Tole painting, my sister is a quilter and seamstress and my father does custom carpentry.  So needless to say, it is in my genes.  Even my son, Evan, had no choice – he was born with his mother’s creativity.  He is an entrepreneur and has his own T-shirt Company.  He designs and creates motivational quotes for his line of shirts.   My husband, Tom, is very supportive and will help out any way he can.  I do several local craft fairs and he built all my displays for me. 

I started out making crafts from patterns, then started designing and creating my own items.  Several years ago, I began to use recycled items in all my crafts.  My own basement started to look like a recycling center, much to my husband’s dismay.  I would not throw anything out – it could be made into something. 

If it isn't already evident, everything I make is designed and handmade by me. Although there is some degree of uniformity in my soft sculpture line, every product is unique in its own way. I make sure that my snowmen come with different colored scarves or the angels have a different pattern on the wings. I always loved the feeling of having an exclusive item that few people or no one else has and have been able to carry that exclusivity into my product lines. I hope my sincere passion for crafting is clearly visible in all of my work. My vision has always been to create something that everyone can enjoy and will be cherished for years to come.
